DESCRIPTION:Qalipu First Nation and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) presents a Day of Discovery! Open to Youth ages 10 to 17 and Elders on Wednesday\, August 25\, 2021. A breakfast will be served in Head Harbour\, Triton at 9:00AM preceding a day of activities including: \n\nOcean Patrol of scenic vista and Badger Bay\nFire & boil up with cultural sharing’s\nEducation sessions from DFO and how they help protect our oceans and\nTeachings by Qalipu First Nation on Indigenous Traditions & Sustainability of the sea.\n\nTo participate please contact Manager of Culture Community Outreach\, Kellie Kerpan at 250-264-2164 or kkerpan@qalipu.ca by Monday August 23\, 2021! \nPlease Note – Participants must provide their own travel to and from Head Harbour. \n
