DESCRIPTION:Putting First Nation Children First \nJordan’s Principle Child First Initiative was developed to enhance and promote the well-being of our children\, families and communities in ways that will encourage growth in areas of health\, education\, culture\, and social programs. The Jordan’s Principle Service Coordinators will work with families to ensure First Nations Children receive the care and access to programs and services they require and are entitled too. “It is the belief that healthy and strong children are the foundation of healthy strong communities”. The program is intended to prevent First Nations children from being denied or experience delays in essential services due to jurisdictional disputes between governments or government departments regarding who should pay. \n
