DESCRIPTION:Schedule of Events:\nAugust 25th. Mawio’mi at Blanch Brook Park \n(behind McDonald’s) \n***please remember to bring a lawn chair and snacks/water for the day. Parking is side-street only. Seniors and people with mobility issues are encouraged to be dropped off at the Jerome M Delaney pavilion on White’s Ave. This is for “drop off only”. \n1:00PM – Grand Entry \n\nFlag Song (Medicine Dream Drum)\nPost the Colors\nVeteran’s Song (Spirit Bay Drummers)\n\n1:30PM – Opening Prayer – Pjila’si / Welcoming and Acknowledgments \n2:00PM – 2:45PM – Inter-tribal songs\, dance category features\, spot dances\, potato dance competition\, and candy dance. NAWN will be hosting children’s activities. \n2:45PM-3:00PM – Story time with Len Muise \n3:00PM-3:20PM – Chief Mitchell fly rod demonstration \n3:05PM-3:45PM – Community Hand Drum groups to sing \n3:45PM-430PM –  Kojua dances and Inter-tribal songs \n4:45PM – Grand Exit (retiring the flags) \n5:00PM – Final Closing Comments\, and Closing Prayer \n\nSweetgrass Festival Community Bonfire\n7:00PM-9:00PM – @ Port Harmon Beach\n(Host will be Indian head chief First Nation Chief Charlie White). \n*** Please remember to bring a lawn chair and a warm coat. People are invited to bring hand drums. \n
