DESCRIPTION:You are invited to an event at Wigwam Point in Peterview June 25th. 3-5 pm that will include a Spirit Fire (Including cultural teachings about the ceremony from Mutchie Bennett)\, Traditional foods\, Cultural values\, and some sharing of Mi’kmaw language. Our focus will be to gather cultural knowledge and history of the region through conversations which include traditional hunting/fishing/gathering\, types of foods gathered\, and methods of preparation and preservation. Registration is required and is open to everyone\, however\, priority will be given to Qalipu First Nation members. \n
