SUMMARY:National Day for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women\, Girls and Two-Spirited People
DESCRIPTION:Lnu’skwaq Association of Central Newfoundland (LACN)\, a grassroots Indigenous women-led not-for-profit organization\, is inviting community members and partners to join an important evening of awareness\, reflection\, and healing in recognition of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women\, Girls\, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+). \n📅 May 5th\n🕕 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.\n📍 Classic Theatre\, 10 High Street\, Grand Falls-Windsor \nThe evening will include a screening of Jingle Dress\, followed by a debrief circle and panel discussion focused on healing\, awareness\, and community response. This is especially timely in light of recent incidents of intimate partner violence in the region. \nThis is a free community event\, open to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous participants. Refreshments will be provided\, along with door prizes. \n
