Hunting and Trapping Course Reopen Applications for Gander (and surrounding area)

In partnership with College of the North Atlantic, Qalipu First Nation is pleased to re-announce that the Hunting and Trapping Guide Training for Gander that was postponed in Fall 2021 will now move forward on March 26 – 30, 2022 from 8:30am to 5:30pm at Gander CNA Campus. The course offering is open to Gander and surrounding area’s and will include a travel stipend for those applicants who successfully register.

Applications are now reopen and will need to fulfil a minimum of 10 people in attendance for the training to move forward. This opportunity is designed for Qalipu Members or self-identifying Indigenous individuals who are interested in becoming Hunting and Trapping Guides in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Application deadline is March 18, 2022 at 4:00PM NDT and can be submitted either via email to ymacdonald@qalipu.ca, or hand-delivered/mailed to QFN St. George’s Office.
