Let Us Help You Find A Job
Education and Training is often in touch with employers: partnering and helping to identify the right people for jobs that need to be filled. With such a large membership, our skilled work force is a valuable asset. In particular, our labour force database, ginu, is an important tool for quickly identifying members’ skills, education and availability for work. Have you completed your profile?
If you need help, your first point of contact is Yvonne Macdonald, Employment Coordinator. Yvonne has been hired to assist members with completing their profiles in the ginu database, to provide employers with a means to getting their job ads in front our membership, to maintain a list of members looking for work opportunities, and to assist members with registration on the necessary job banks for the various energy sector projects underway in our province.
In the next year, ginu will become even more useful. It will be enhanced to allow members to apply directly through ginu for employment, training, postsecondary funding, wage subsidies and a host of other current and future programs and services.
For information please feel free to contact Yvonne at ymacdonald@qalipu.ca or via telephone at (709) 647-3514
